Similar to Spunlace, this machine creates non-woven fabrics mechanically instead of using water. It utilizes a massive bed of thousands of specialized, barbed needles. As the loose fiber web passes through, these needles rapidly punch up and down, catching the fibers on their barbs and forcing them to lock together into a dense, heavy-duty fabric (like felt or carpet backing).
